At White Gum Family Day Care, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, respected and genuinely known.

We are a family day care service built on the belief that everyone has a role to play and something valuable to contribute to the lives of children and their families. We are passionate about supporting Educators to create nurturing, inclusive and engaging environments where children can learn, grow and simply be themselves.

Child safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating environments where children feel safe to speak, be heard, ask questions, express their feelings and build trusting relationships with the adults around them. We believe protecting children is everyone's responsibility, and we take our commitment to child safe practices seriously.

We believe children learn best when they are actively involved in their own learning through play, exploration, curiosity and meaningful experiences. Rather than rushing childhood, we value slow, intentional learning that allows children the time and space to investigate the world around them, develop confidence and follow their own interests.

Nature is one of our greatest teachers. We are passionate about giving children opportunities to be immersed in the natural world — climbing trees, digging in the dirt, collecting treasures, feeling the sand between their toes, watching insects, getting muddy and discovering the wonder that exists right outside the door. We believe these experiences build not only knowledge, but confidence, resilience, connection and a deep respect for the world around us.

We value respect, relationships, individuality and partnership. Families are an important part of a child's learning journey, and we believe strong relationships between children, families and Educators create the foundation for meaningful early learning.

At White Gum, we don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to childhood. Every child is different, every family is different and every Educator brings something unique to the community. Our role is to support that individuality while providing a strong foundation of quality, safety, compliance and care.
